Lodi lovers, or those who want to show out-of-town friends or relatives how special the town is, can purchase clothing and knick-knacks with Lodi all over them.
Items range from coffee mugs and wine glasses to an apron or even a money clip. These items are available at local stores and wineries. One such store, Lakewood Drugs on Ham Lane, has a laundry list of items that puts Lodi right on the map, said Lana Carouba, buyer for the drug and gift shop at Lakewood Mall.
You can get such Lodi souvenirs as maroon sweatshirts with grapes, wine stoppers, plates, shot glasses, dish towels, afghans, post cards and a custom-made sign that reads "Lodi — Home is where your story begins."
A small downtown business, Landd Special T's, 16 W. Oak St., has T-shirts with "Stuck in Lodi" in the front, plus some other custom-made shirts.
The Lodi Wine and Visitor Center, 2545 W. Turner Road, has more than 100 wines available for tasting and sale. Wine accessories are also available. For more information, call (209) 365-0621 or visit http://www.lodiwine.com.
Downtown Lodi also has souvenirs and antiques on and near School Street. And three wineries have joined forces to open cellardoor, 21 N. School St., where wine tasting is available.
Galt also has some souvenirs such as postcards, Christmas ornaments, afghans and T-shirts and cookbooks, but none are available at a public location. For more information, call the Galt Area Historical Society at (209) 745-0951.
